How to deal with malodorous waste gas in a refinery?

At present, for a large amount of sulfur and malodorous waste gas in the refining process of oil, the common treatment methods include combustion (it is easy to produce secondary pollution by combustion of sulfur-containing waste gas directly), alkali absorption (it produces a new pollutant- alkali residue), catalytic oxidation method (solid adsorption which is suitable for waste gas source with high concentration fluctuation), solid adsorption method, biological deodorization method and so on.

In the refinery, the deodorizing UV photocatalytic oxidation equipment can remove volatile organic compounds (VOC), inorganic, ammonia, mercaptan and other major pollutants, as well as all kinds of odors, without adding any chemicals. By using the strong absorption of a malodorous substance to the light quantum, the molecule of the malodorous substance is dissociated and excited by the bombardment of a large amount of carrying energy light quantum. There is no secondary pollution, and the main exhaust gas after the reaction include nitrogen, oxygen, water, carbon dioxide and other harmless gases. The light beam cracks the molecular bond of the bacteria in the malodorous waste gas, destroys the bacterial DNA, and oxidizes the bacteria through ozone to achieve the purpose of deodorizing and killing bacteria completely. The deodorization rate is as high as 99%.
